SPRINTER VAN / CARGO VAN DRIVERS NEEDED

About the Opportunity
We are expanding our delivery operations and looking for experienced Independent Contractor Delivery Drivers to support a major national retail delivery program in Eastern North Carolina.
We are seeking dependable, professional drivers who own or have reliable access to a qualifying white or grey Sprinter van or cargo van and are ready to handle consistent last-mile delivery routes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver retail packages and merchandise directly to customers.
- Complete assigned delivery routes within your designated service area.
- Be prepared for approximately 8–10 hours per assigned route, depending on the route.
- Sort, scan, organize, and load packages before starting deliveries.
- Follow established delivery procedures and submit electronic proof of delivery (POD).
- Handle packages safely and provide professional customer service.
Vehicle & Insurance Requirements
Applicants must own or have reliable access to a white or grey Sprinter van or cargo van that meets the following requirements:
- Reliable, clean, and in good working condition.
- Properly registered and insured.
- Large enough to accommodate assigned delivery routes.
- Covered by the required cargo insurance.
Drivers must provide current proof of all required insurance coverage during onboarding.
Driver Requirements
Qualified applicants must have:
- Previous professional delivery, courier, or last-mile delivery experience.
- A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- The ability to pass required background and motor vehicle screenings.
- A smartphone with reliable cellular service and GPS navigation.
- The ability to scan packages and submit electronic proof of delivery.
- The ability to safely load, unload, and transport packages.
- Dependability, punctuality, and professional communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
Previous delivery experience is required. This is not an entry-level opportunity.
Independent Contractor Information
This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, not a W-2 employee position.
Independent contractors are responsible for their own:
- Vehicle expenses and maintenance.
- Fuel and other operating costs.
- Required insurance coverage.
- Smartphone and cellular service.
- Taxes and other business-related expenses.
Compensation & Payment Schedule
- Compensation: Based on the assigned route and established contractor compensation structure.
- Payment Schedule: Biweekly.
- Route Rates: Specific route rates and operational details will be discussed with qualified applicants.
